Do yourself a favor: avoid iFuntasy 01
Wednesday, August 8th, 2007 - 6:24PM

Have an iPhone? I wholeheartedly endorse (but don’t take responsibility for) the use of iFuntastic — except its iFuntasy 01 installation, um, “feature”. Basically it just hijacks your phone and does lots of weird, annoying shit with it like arranging the icons in a completely nonsensical order, making it play a Tarzan sound whenever you hit the sleep/on button, etc. Oh, but the best part is there’s no way to uninstall it short of a full restore. So thanks a lot (both seriously and sarcastically), bitSplit.
Update: Peoples are saying there’s an uninstall option which you have to click through to get — I may have missed it, haven’t confirmed though.

Thanks for the advice, nowhere else online is there anyone that posted anything about this yet. i def will stay away from ifuntasy for now! :D

That Tarzan sound alone would make me want to shoot someone in the face - possibly myself.

There is an uninstall button. Look again.

There doesn’t appear to be an uninstall button (at least in the version I’m running), which is the latest 2.5 beta. Where did you see it? There aren’t a whole host of places for it to hide.

if you click in the ifuntasy button in ifuntastic, the screen offers you the choice to install, uninstall, or cancel. Thanks for letting me avoid this!

If you click uninstall then finish up and reboot your phone the whole ifuntasy thing goes away just to help out those who googles ifuntasy as soon as they click install and regretted it. just click the ifuntasy button again, click uninstall, then click finish, then reboot your phone, and your good.
